Komatsu was hired to provide architectural and engineering services for Frisco’s new Fire Station No. 9. This project will be designed as an energy conscious building. The City desired a modern aesthetic and Komatsu accomplished this with a sloping roof and brick and stone accents.
The project is located on approximately 2 acres where the City’s new Public Safety Training Center will be located, also designed by Komatsu with G2 Solutions.
The Fire Station includes:
- 3 Drive-through Apparatus Bays
- Officer’s Quarters and Offices
- 9 Dorm Rooms
- Day Room, Fitness Room, Report Room and Exam Room
- Commercial Kitchen
- Conference Room
- Extractor/Decontamination Area
